CSSC ASA DIVING CHAMPIONSHIP RULES _ 2005

Individuals - Men and Women

 

The Diving Championships of the CSSC ASA shall be held under ASA rules.

 

(a)           Ladies Springboard (1M or 3M springboard, or combination thereof)

 

Preliminary:        Each Competitor will be required to perform three dives with a total degree of difficulty of not more than 5.4.                 Dives may only be repeated if they are performed in a different position on each occasion: i.e. A forward dive                               may be performed three times provided that it is done straight, piked, and tucked.

 

                   The top ten divers will then go forward to the final.

 

Final:                     Each Competitor will be required to perform three dives with no limit on the degree of difficulty. At least two of these must be selected from different groups.  Divers may repeat dives from the preliminary round if    required, provided that they are selected from at least two different groups.

 

                   The scores from the preliminary and final rounds will be added together to determine the final placings.

 

(b)              Mens Springboard (1M or 3M springboard, or combination thereof)

 

Preliminary:        Each competitor will be required to perform three dives with a total degree of difficulty of not more than 5.4.                  Dives may only be repeated if they are performed in a different position on each occasion.  i.e. A forward dive                              may be performed three times provided that it is done straight, piked, and tucked.

At least two of these must be selected from different groups.  Divers may repeat dives from the preliminary round        provided that these are selected from different groups.

(c)              Ladies Highboard (5, 7.5 or 10M, or combination thereof)

 

Preliminary:        Each competitor will be required to perform three dives with a total degree of difficulty of not more than 5.6.                   Dives may only be repeated if they are performed in a different position on each occasion.  i.e. a forward dive                                may be performed three times provided that it is done straight, piked, and tucked.

 

                   The top ten divers will then go forward to the final.

 

Final:                     Each competitor will be required to perform two dives with no limit on the degree of difficulty.  Each dive must be selected from a different group.  Divers may repeat dives from the preliminary round if required, provided that the dives are from different groups.

 

                   The scores from the preliminary and final rounds will be added together to determine the final placings.

 

(d)              Men’s Highboard (5, 7.5 or 10M, or combination thereof)

 

Preliminary:        Each competitor will be required to perform three dives with a total degree' of difficulty of not more than 5.6.                 Dives may only be repeated if they are performed in a different position on each occasion, i.e. a forward dive                                 may be performed three times providing that it is done straight, piked, and tucked.

 

                   The top ten divers will then go forward to the final.
