Work of the CSSC ASA

The CSSC ASA is in existence to encourage swimming, diving, water polo and life saving among members of CSSC Sports & Leisure._ the largest corporate provider of sport in the UK.

The Executive Committee runs the CSSC ASA with organisational and financial assistance from CSSC. We hold our Annual Council Meeting an the first day of our championships which are held in May. The Executive Committee also overseas the running of  Representative matches.

In 2007 our National Swimming, Diving, Lifesaving and Water Polo Championships will be held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield on 10 & 11 May.

You will find links to results and photos from previous years here.

Swimming events are for men and women in both open, masters and veterans events.  Trophies are awarded on an individual, team and at departmental/club level.

  • The CSSC Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) has been looking after Swimming, Diving, Life Saving and Water Polo for Civil Servants and more latterly CSSC members since 1909.

  • The ASA exists to promote these sports within the CSSC and we do this as follows:

  • The current Executive Committee meets up to three times each year to plan the National Swimming, Diving and Life Saving Championships, which are usually held in May each year, as well as organize Representative matches for Swimming, Diving and Water Polo teams against the Armed Forces and British Police.

  • We also hold our own Annual Council meeting when rule changes are voted on and appointments to the Executive are made. We are all volunteers so if you feel you can contribute why not come along. You will be very welcome.

The CSSC ASA is financed by a grant each year from the CSSC Sports & Leisure.  The CSSC ASA is referred to as an SRB (Sports & Recreational Body) within the CSSC .
